GENERAL JOB STATEMENT
The Live Haul Truck Driver is responsible for safe and timely delivery of live pigs to designated sites.
Eligible for health, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, 401K, PTO and paid holidays following 60 days of employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres to all safety and traffic laws.
Bed trailers prior to loading according to NFP guidelines.
Documents and maintains accurate mileage sheets and other paperwork as needed and as required by state and federal regulations.
Fuels and prepares truck and trailer for next load.
Maintains an insurable driving record under current Company policies.
Maintains a safe, secure, and bio secure location to store truck and trailer at NFP truck wash.
Manages maintenance service to truck and trailer through Manager.
Performs and documents pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Safely and efficiently loads and unloads pigs, following all animal handling guidelines as set forth by NFP.
Safely drives truck and trailer to and from farms and trailer wash.

Positively represent the company at work and in the community.
Other Requirements and Responsibilities
All other tasks and responsibilities as may be required by NFP.
Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled and required.
Follow all applicable biosecurity measures per NFP policies.
Follow all safety rules and practices and encourage co-workers to do the same.
Regular and consistent attendance.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to be a team player and assist other areas as needed.
Maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
Must have strong cleanliness habits always.
Work effectively and non-defensively with a variety of personalities.
Work effectively and non-defensively with live animals.
High school diploma or GED required. CDL required.
Works closely with the Transportation Department, Fleet Manager, Growers, and Production Staff.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have the ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, push, pull, stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required are close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
