GENERAL JOB STATEMENT
Feed Mill Manager is responsible for directing the daily operations of the feed
mill, including but not limited to feed manufacturing and deliver while
ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations and agencies including
the FDA, OSHA, and the DOT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
in the maintenance, upgrade, and/or modifications of company mills either by
direct involvement in the project or through reviewing cost competitive bids.
and purchase all tools, parts, and materials needed for the Feed Mill
and monitor all feed production equipment, facilities, truck maintenance, and
communicate, and enforce all feed production and deliver-related biosecurity
rules and practices.
all feed transportation operations while focusing on biosecurity, efficiency,
safety, value, and timeliness.
all feed production and delivery activities.
and monitor all related budgeting and financial controls.
information and recommendations to upper management related to feed production/transportation
and related cost reduction opportunities.
and ensure compliance with all transportation, environmental, and feed
production regulations and policies.
closely with the Director of Nutrition and related vendors to ensure high
quality, cost effective feed production.
with purchasing personnel to schedule incoming ingredients and inventory
other team members with time management and skill development.

all employees and perform evaluations with Feed Division Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND

maintain a valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record.

School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent. Three
to five years of experience in feed mill or grain facility. Some familiarity
with livestock production is preferred.
closely with the Feed Mills Department, Production staff, Human Resources
Department, Accounting Department, and general office staff.
performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have the ability
to manipulate (lift, carry and/or move) light to medium weights of 10-50
pounds. Requires arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp,
and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read. The employee is
frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Position
also requires repetitive hand motion (typing/data entry) daily.
