GENERAL JOB STATEMENT
The Feed Mill Driver is
responsible for the pick-up delivery of feed loads to various farm locations
while ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT)
regulations and rules pertaining to commercial transportation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean up any spilled feed.
Climb feed bins.
Comply with Production staff on-site needs.
Drive truck to destination while applying
knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
Ensure cargo is secure
Inspect fire extinguisher and other safety
equipment aboard to ensure good working order.
Inspect truck for adequate fuel and oil, and
ensure that brakes, windshield wipers, and lights are working properly.
Load and unload bulk feed.
Maintain accurate internal and DOT paperwork
according to state and federal regulations.
Maintain an alert posture to prevent accidents.
Perform emergency roadside repairs when

Able to do basic math (i.e. adding, subtracting,
dividing, and multiplying).

Must have a current valid class A CDL, medical

Interacts closely with the Feed Mill Manager and Sow Farm department
heads. Should also be able to interface well with customers, vendors, employees,
and the public at large.
While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is required to have the ability to manipulate (lift, carry and/or
move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds while ascending or descending
stairs or ladders.
