Construction of the new Seaboard Triumph Foods (STF) facility began in the fall of 2015. The facility was completed and launched commercial operations September 5, 2017. Training and hiring for a second shift is underway and slated to begin October 2018. Once full production is reached, employment will increase to approximately 2000 employees. At full two-shift capacity, the facility will process upwards of 21,000 head of market hogs per day. Seaboard Triumph Foods, LLC is located in the Bridgeport West Industrial Park in Sioux City, north of the Sioux Gateway Airport along the Missouri River.
Triumph Foods and Seaboard Foods are integrated food companies, with farm operations and pork processing, controlling the entire process every step of the way from before the farm to the plate. Together, STF has aligned their farm operations and pork processing, including genetics, pig nutrition, animal care, food safety and product quality, to ensure consistent, wholesome premium pork products to its customers.
Seaboard Triumph Foods, LLC is an equal ownership joint venture between Seaboard Foods and Triumph Foods, LLC.
Triumph Foods is owned exclusively by pork producers and Seaboard Foods is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seaboard Corporation (NYSE MKT: “SEB”).
